Hi Tina,

It could be the heat that's making Daniel feel worse. The mtx should stay in his system for at least 6 weeks.
Keep giving him painkillers and let him rest when he wants to. An ice pack on his ankle might help.
Hope he feels better soon and I hope his next blood tests are improved so he can get back on the mtx.

Love, Doreen xx

Hi Tina,

Yes I agree with Doreen it is possibly the heat, I don't ache much but at the moment I do and it is the heat that is causing it. My legs tonight feel awful and ache so much it's getting me down. Hugs for your wee boy it must be so difficult for a child to cope with. Lorna x

Hi Tina,

I agree with everyone else. Hopefully, Dan's bloods will be back to normal soon and then he can go back onto the mtx.

I came off it for almost 3 months and things were OK for a couple of months, so he should be OK with painkillers for a week or two.

How are YOU now Tina?

Much love
Jeanxxxxx

Aw Tina, I am so very sad to hear about Dan suffering like that- it is so hard being so young with this nasty disease. The pain relief should help him get through until he can go back onto MTX.

Much love always,

Amanda

Sorry to hear Dan has problems, the heat doesn't help does it? Could you try putting his feet in a bowl of cool water? I've been doing that every day, it's the only way I can cope at the moment. I'm trying not to stand for long as it's making my feet painful and swollen

I hope he feels better soon.

Hi Tina,
Good to hear that Dan's coping with his pain.
I'm sure he'll manage fine with gas and air if he needs an injection, he'll probably end up laughing his way through it!
Give him a hug from me.
Love, Doreen xx
